In this Article it talks about how religion was a main source of why this girl couldn’t get an abortion, after she was raped. This surprised me that Argentina valued that the Law of God was stronger than killing a baby. It says this the article that the age of girl 15 and under had about over 2,000 babies in the year 2017. In my state is common for 15 and above to have babies. In order for a girl to get an abortion most are required to go to court, by then you would think it is too late to even take the fetus out. The girl in the article was 11 years old and she had was at health risk, as well as raped and the government chose to delay the birth. I am in shock that something like this would go through with the government, as well as many other people. Some say that if there is a God that God would punish those who did this to the girl. The doctors even lied about the girl being overweight and she was perfectly healthy to have the baby. Her name is unknown to protect her identity.

This article is very concerning that religion has more influence than the law. This child couldn't even fathom that she was pregnant; all she wanted was to have that thing the old man put in her taken out. It's sad that religious leaders couldn't even see that possibly having this child would risk her life.
